Another View on the FRA Issue

With the election cycle heating up, Social Security is getting a fair amount of exposure in the debate processes, especially in terms of the need to deal with the projected shortfalls in the years ahead. One of the more frequently suggested solutions is an increase to the full retirement ate (FRA) to as late as age 70, a suggestion which gives rise to an equally frequent charge that this argues against progressivity.
