As the 2016 presidential election cycle grinds toward November, there is a continuing rhetoric int he air about expanding benefits in a number of areas. Free college, increased minimum wage, and so on are extolled as improvements to our way of life, but there is a significant–perhaps dire–consequence to be considered: the national debt.
