Despite the headlines, Medicare isn’t going broke

Since the Trustees’ report was released yesterday, many headlines have declared “Medicare Going Broke!!!”, or something similar.  But, according to this Forbes article by Howard Gleckman, that is just so much hyperbole because the program isn’t going broke at all; it does need some work and it could get a bit more expensive for some, but it’s certainly not going broke, or bankrupt or any other similar term. And for the record, America’s seniors aren’t in any danger of losing this vital healthcare program.
