Program changes open Cameron Art Museum to disabilities community

People with disabilities, and those who care for them, now have a chance to visit the Cameron Art Museum. Thanks to the Connections Program, visitors with special needs can explore the facility on Mondays. While the program is nothing new, the outreach efforts previously focused on patrons impacted by Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Hour-long tours are available from 10am-5pm weekly with a required reservation. According to the program brochure: “Because the museum is closed to the general public on Mondays, the Connections Program can provide an environment that is especially calm and supportive for individuals who may be challenged by noise and crowds.
