Social Security in the Current Election

Social Security should be a much bigger topic of debate than it currently is. Social Security is affecting or will affect most citizens. There are currently 75 million baby boomers, all retired or rapidly reaching retirement age. This is a huge demographic that is deeply invested in this issue. Many of these retirees rely on Social Security as a sole source of income, and even though inflation has been a steady rising force there was no COLA increase. To top it off, Social Security is in the throes of insolvency and there has been no meaningful discourse on the subject, leaving many wondering just what will happen in the coming years.
