Survey Says: Retirement Security Viewed is a Personal Responsibility

A recent MetLife survey of future retirees revealed that a majority felt a personal responsibility for securing their own retirement, with few Baby Boomers indicating an interest in having government be responsible. Citing the political risks embedded in Social Security, InsuranceNewsNet’s Brian O’Connell explains that the view of the government’s record with Social Security and Medicare causes concern in many quarters.
