The retirement dichotomy – retirees vs. pre-retirees

A recent study by the Nationwide Retirement Institute found that feelings about retirement by those already retired are distinctly different from those who are only considering the journey into their “golden years”.  In most respects, pre-retirees tend to be more pessimistic, especially about the future of the program, and much of the dissatisfaction of those already retired has to do with actual expenses, especially for healthcare, being much more than they had planned for.  This PlanSponsor article by Lee Barney explains that recent retirees paint a different picture of life in retirement than some pre-retirees expect.  Click here to read more.
