Wealth Distribution in the Coming Decades

Baby Boomers are slated to lose their dominant share in wealth distribution in the next 20 years to their children. By 2030 it is estimated that Millennials and Generation X will control half of America’s wealth, compared to the 18% they hold now. The younger generations have gotten off to a slow start with the recent recession and aren’t expected to do as well in savings and investments as their parents were able to do in their time. As Baby Boomers retire, their children will start taking over their roles in the workplace, and with that, start earning the higher wages.
