There’s been a lot of publicity about the forthcoming 2% cost of living adjustment (COLA) that will affect 10’s of millions of Social Security recipients in 2018.  And when you think of a cost of living adjustment, you might also believe that means that your Social Security benefit amount will be going up by 2%.
