In 2013, AMAC—The Association of Mature American Citizens—took a big step with the creation of the AMAC Foundation, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit entity designed to serve Americans. The Foundation’s mission is to help protect and ensure the financial security, health, and social lives of current and future mature Americans, and to help Americans navigate the bewildering array of decisions they need to make.
The Foundation’s projects and plans include providing factual information that improves understanding of the positive value of Social Security and Medicare and the current and long-term challenges these programs face, as well as providing interpretations by Certified Social Security Advisors through AMAC publications, workshops, webinars, podcasts, and telephone support.
In addition, the Foundation serves all Americans in a variety of capacities, including provision of a source of education on the principles of American Free Enterprise, long-term retirement financial planning, and preparing for life—and potential employment—after retirement.

My son’s are working and paying into ss, they feel that it won’t be able to get their fair share. I told them don’t believe what the already rich rumor mill puts out there. You shall receive what you earned in this great country we live. In God we trust.

Thank you for your comment. You are correct in citing the rumor mill regarding Social Security’s impending bankruptcy. As you may be aware, Social Security is facing a problem in that it’s ability to fully pay promised benefits is in jeopardy, and the Trust Funds being used to make up the shortfall between incoming cash and outgoing benefits payments are projected to be depleted by 2034 unless corrective legislative action is taken. AMAC is actively working toward a solution to the long-term problem, and has within the past few months crafted “The Social Security Guarantee Act of 2017,” a bipartisan compromise bill merging portions of a bill introduced by Rep. Sam Johnson (R-TX) and a bill introduced by Rep. John Larson (D-CT) with AMAC’s proposals. We are actively seeking sponsorship for this Act, with the firm belief that this is not a self-correcting problem and action is required sooner rather than later.
