Waiting for official announcement on COLA, but the prediction is…

In October, the Social Security Administration is expected to officially announce its cost-of-living adjustment (COLA). The adjustment is calculated based on data by the Bureau of Labor Statistics using the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, or CPI-W, through the third quarter. According to one new estimate from a nonpartisan group, the COLA for 2020 could be 1.6 percent, which is down from a 2.8 percent increase in 2019. Read article here…
