Why Nobel economists say Christie’s 2016 economic plan is not much of a plan

Two Nobel prize-winning economists have weighed in on Gov. Chris Christie’s proposals to reform the federal tax code and save Social Security, but said his revenue plan is missing crucial details and his entitlement reform is lacking in both efficacy and fairness. Last week, Christie penned an editorial for the Wall Street Journal that called for a simplification of the U.S. tax code to just three tax brackets, and slashing the highest rate to just 28 percent.
