Sometimes a story is just fun to read. So it is with ones that rank best places to live, best places to retire, etc. This piece by Jami Farkas of Yahoo Finance compiled a list of the 20 best cities to live off of just Social Security from a GOBankingRates study. The study factored in the cost of living, livability and median rent and — after comparing the 143 largest cities in the country — combined the scores to determine where it’s really possible to get by on just a Social Security check. Texas is well represented on the list, but number one is Rock Springs, WY. Full article and list here.
