2017 Medicare Part A and Part B price changes

Although about 70% of Medicare recipients are protected by the “hold-harmless” provision and will only see a slight Part B premium increase, there are still some changes that will affect everyone.  While it’s likely that even the small Part B premium increase for that 70% will be offset by the 0.3% Social Security COLA increase, deductibles for both Part A and Part B are going up in 2017 which means you’ll pay more for healthcare services.  This article by Nathaniel Sillin appears at The Logan Daily News and explains how you will be affected by Medicare’s 2017 changes.
