2018 Budget Projection: No Cuts to Social Security

Although it’s still a work in progress, President Trump’s fiscal 2018 budget proposal is expected to avoid any major changes to Social Security and Medicare while setting the government on a path to balance the budget within 10 years. In an article posted by Paul M. Krawzak today on www.rollcall.com, the likelihood of substantial cuts to Medicaid and Social Security Disability programs is also discussed as a potential source of budget-balancing plans to be included in the 2018 spending proposal, expected to be announced later this month.
