With store now defunct, woman having problems getting motorized scooter repaired

Leah Aviel may be in a wheelchair, but she doesn’t let it slow her down.“I go to school,” said Ms. Aviel. “I go to the doctor. I go to temple. I visit friends. My life is not just in this room.” But her two-year-old power wheelchair is falling apart“ If it were a car it would be a lemon,” she said with disgust. To get it going, she  kicks off with her foot, like you would a bicycle. She uses duct tape and bungee cords to keep the back and the arms from falling off. But  the back keeps slipping, giving her almost no support. Most people would call the store where they bought the wheelchair, but Ms. Aviel doesn’t have that option.
