Q: In a previous question and answer you wrote about applying for a “one-time payment” of back Social Security benefits in the one-year period after Social Security disability becomes Social Security retirement. My one year is up this year, and I want to apply again for a back lump sum on the five years that I did not get a lump-sum payment even though the judge’s determination of the onset of my disability went back 10 years instead of five years.  Read more…
