Inheritances are dwindling in the latest generation to reach retirement age, many hesitant to leave significant amounts of money to their children. A new trend is taking its place, however, in the form of a living inheritance. Boomers are more likely to give money to their children and grandchildren while they are still alive than through a will. This is the case for many reasons, the first being that they want to be alive to see the enjoyment that their children get out of their gift.
