Planning for the Future of Social Security

With all the solvency issues popping up regarding Social Security it may be a wise move to make plans for future cuts in benefits. Many proposals are being tossed around and it may take a while to land on one as a solution, and then it will take even longer for it to be implemented. With this in mind, good advice may be to make plans to save up for short comings in your future benefits should there be a cut in payments. This is a win/win for those that do take the advice, even if benefits are not cut you will still have the money you saved for a possible emergency and will be that much better off in retirement.
