Which states need Social Security the most?

Given that Social Security represents at least 40% of nearly every senior’s income and in some cases as much as 90%, it’s no wonder that reports of the program’s financial woes are taking center stage.  But where would any future cut in benefits hurt the most?  By looking at the demographics and financial habits of each state, Money & Career’s The Cheat Sheet publication was able to identify 15 states which rely the most on Social Security and, thus, have the most to lose if benefits are ever cut.  This article by Lauren Hamer explains.
