2018 COLA increase to be 2%

The Social Security Administration has just announced that the cost of living adjustment (COLA) for all beneficiaries will be 2% starting in 2018.  While this only represents about $25/month for the average recipient, it’s the biggest in the last five years, and certainly better than this year’s paltry 0.3% increase or the zero percent received in 2016.  This U.S. News & World Report article by AP’s Stephen Ohlemacher discusses the increase and what it means to the millions of recipients of Social Security benefits.  Click here to read more.
