It seems there is no end to the number of ways scammers can try to get at your money, and your Social Security benefit has apparently become a primary target. Key to avoiding being scammed by one of these criminals is to be able to recognize a scam contact in the first place. And perhaps the best way to do that is to fully understand that Social Security will never do what most scammers are threatening you with.
