What’s the benefits of gig work?

Some Seniors are choosing to supplement their retirement income with gig work. Gig workers work as short-term, temporary, or independent contactors for one or a variety of employers. According to the 2020 report from the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College, they found those who transitioned from traditional work to gig work at 62 were able to shrink their income gap by ages 67-68. Also, the gig workers were able to cover more of their income shortfalls versus those who stayed in their traditional jobs.
