A long time ago, retirement was looked as the final life phase…the time for rockers and sunset-gazing and just taking it easy. That scenario seems to rapidly becoming a thing of the past, for many reasons. For some, retirement for many now is becoming a second-career opportunity–an opportunity to pursue a more enjoyable line of work, or at least one that’s not as stressful. For others, there’s the thought of kicking back is replaced with a shifting into higher gears for travel and excitement. And for still others, it’s becoming the thought of going into second-home ownership either as a vacation destination or an income-producing opportunity.
