Denied Social Security Disability? This May be Why - VENTS Magazine
Statistically, about 2/3rds of all applications for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits are denied. That seems like a very large percentage, but reality is that many of the denied applications meet that fate for simple reasons. Among the things which may cause your SSDI application to be rejected are not providing adequate medical records to confirm your disability, or even simply filing more than once when an appeal of a previous denial should have been done. There are some even simpler reasons such as not complying with your doctor’s suggested treatment regimen, or even not cooperating fully with the Social Security Administration as they evaluate your application.
