The Bidens’ Social Security Take in 2022
The president and first lady file a joint federal tax return, so any individual earnings on Social Security aren’t easy to extract from the public filing of their 1040 form for 2022. Sean Williams looks at the return and puts it in context of what others get from Social Security. The Bidens take is well above average, likely because their lifetime earnings were at or above the cap for most of the 35 year history Social Security uses to calculate benefits.
