Social Security’s IT Investment Practices Questioned by Ways and Means

Citing continued delays in updates to the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) automated systems, House Ways and Means Social Security Subcommittee Chairman Drew Ferguson (GA-03) has requested a review by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) of SSA’s management and oversight practices relative to information technology investments.
