U.S. Dept. of Labor Announces Retirement Plan “Lost and Found” Search Tool

EBSA (Employee Benefits Security Administration) is helping America’s workers and beneficiaries search for retirement plans that may still owe them benefits by establishing a public Retirement Savings Lost and Found Database through the SECURE 2.0 Act of 2022.
This database serves as a centralized location to find lost or forgotten benefits and get information on how to obtain those funds. Learn about the tools and resources available for you to recover your hard-earned benefits.

Looking for lost wages

The article posted on the site pertains, as you probably know, to retirement plans that may have become “lost” over time. If your comment, however, pertains to wages that do not appear in your Social Security record, you have the option to file a Request for Correction of Earnings Record (form SSA-7008), either by mail or phone call to the Social Security Administration (SSA) at 1-800-772-1213. You will need to furnish proof of your earnings, such as your W-2 forms, tax returns, or final pay stubs.
