Estimated 2026 Part B premium - The Street
Most of us did not read the entire 267 pages of the 2025 Medicare Trustees report. If you did, you would already know that the Trustees are projecting the 2026 Part B premium to be $206.50, an 11.6 percent increase. If this estimate holds, and yes, it is an estimate, it would be the largest single-year increase since 2016 when premiums increased by 16.1 percent. “There is certainly a potential for the monthly premium to increase further,” said Marcia Mantell, president of Mantell Retirement Consulting.
These figures are estimates; however, in recent years, the Trustees’ estimates have been remarkably accurate, often landing just a few dollars off the final figure. Robert Powell, writing for The Street, explains the changes in Medicare premiums in the coming years. Read Mr. Powell’s article here…

Cheryl:
Thank you for expressing your concerns regarding your Social Security and Medicare benefits. We understand them, but please know that we are not affiliated with the Social Security Administration or any other governmental organization. We do note your viewpoints, and will consider them as we refine our AMAC Social Security Guarantee, a multi-point plan to resolve the looming financial crisis facing this massive senior benefit program. Since your comment relates to Social Security’s annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), I would note that are plan is addressing this very area, with an approach that would enhance the annual adjustment for lower earners.
