A call for action on Social Security reform

In commemorating 87 years since the enactment of the Social Security program, (August 14, 1935), Ways and Means Social Security Subcommittee Chairman John B. Larson (CT-01) and U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, called to bring the Social Security 2100: A Scared Trust, up for a vote this fall. Currently, the Social Security 2100 bill has 202 Democratic co-sponsors in the House of Representatives. However, it is not the only proposal that aims to tackle Social Security reform.
