A Crucial Social Security Mistake

A recent survey from the investment management firm Schroders is out with a finding that is raising alarm– 52% of U.S. adults age 45-59 have no idea what their future Social Security benefit amount may look like.  Katie Brockman advocates here that one create a mySocialSecurity account to get a sneak peek at what future monthly checks will look like based on one’s real earnings.  This takes the guesswork out of Social Security and allows one to budget properly and to create a much more accurate retirement plan.  Read her article here.
