While retirement is disappearing from many peoples’ vocabularies, older people on fixed incomes, and even those who continue to work through their 60s, 70s and beyond, will have to worry about covering unexpected healthcare costs.   Medicare doesn’t cover many long-term care costs, and places increasing constraints on the use of services that it does cover in order to control costs.
