A Retrospective on Aging: Looking back to 1995’s White House Conference on Aging
The “Contract with America” adopted by the Clinton Administration served as the centerpeice for the 1995 White House Conference on Aging, a convocation that adopted as its top resolution, ““Keeping Social Security Sound for Now and for the Future.” Next Avenue Contributor Bob Blancato, in a post on forbes.com, takes a look back at this resolution (and others) from a perspective 25 years later, asking the question “where are we on aging policy?” Click here to read Blancato’s assessment of how the goals set at that conference evolved over the years.
