Aging takes a toll on medical sectors, too

As of March 25, the county’s 911 center has dispatched 4,411 medical emergency calls so far this year. That’s an average of 53 calls per day. According to Randy Dawson, Beaver County Emergency Services deputy director, approximately 353 EMS calls were for “Priority 3” responses, which include lift-assists, falls that don’t result in critical injuries, and other minor illnesses or incidents.
