An argument against raising the full retirement age

There’s more to consider when raising the full retirement age than just longevity and the cash outflow that would be save in the Social Security Trust Funds. As Reuters columnist Mark Miller points out in a post on money.usnews.com points out, such a move “actually would cut everyone’s benefits by moving back the goal posts on when you can claim full benefits.
