Are the Perils of “Wokeness” Overshadowing Concerns for Social Security?

Good question. A poll of Republican primary voters conducted by Wall Street Journal during the week of April 11-17, 2023 suggests that might be the case, with more than half of the participants suggesting that “Fighting woke ideology in our schools and businesses” is more of a concern than “Protecting Social Security and Medicare benefits from cuts,” and by a 2-to-1 margin. It’s an interesting poll, and includes new poll results on the favorability of Former President Donald Trump vs. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Axios, in a post by Erin Doherty today on their website, provides a recap of the key poll results…you can access the post here. And if you’re interested in the poll itself, Ms. Doherty’s article includes a link to the full post results.
