Are You Planning on Working Until You are Seventy?

Many workers are being forced to retire sooner than planned due to health issues or job changes. For those whose retirement financial strategies are based in part on waiting until age 70 to file for Social Security, that’s a problem. According to a study by Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI), only a fraction (4%) of those intending to wait until age 70 were able to do so, while nearly half left the workforce earlier than originally planned.
