Though well-intended, Social Security agents sometimes get it wrong

Given the complexity of the subject, the Social Security Administration’s agents dealing with the public don’t always provide correct information to potential beneficiaries.  They certainly all mean well, but with over 2700 pages of rules and regulations, it’s not at all uncommon for an agent to tell someone a particular strategy isn’t allowed when it really is, and this can unfortunately lead to an irrecoverable loss of benefits.  This WealthManagement.com article by Mark Miller discusses the important role independent Social Security Advisors play in making sure you get the right information when considering applying for Social Security.  Click here to read more.
