Baby Boomers in Today’s Work Place

Baby Boomers have recently been surpassed by Generation X and Millennials for the most represented generation in the work force. This has been seen by some as ageism, but it is starting to work for Boomers looking for work rather than against them. Employers have always looked to “hire for diversity” and that is starting to include hiring older workers to round out their relatively young employee base. Employers look toward this demographic to bring in experience and good work ethic in order to influence their younger employees, and Boomers are quickly becoming a hot commodity as they start to retire at higher numbers.
