Candidates Talking About Money

Presidential candidate’s actions and words are often looked at under a microscope and are analyzed inside and out. Sometimes, they let slip a faux paus that gives great insight to how detached they may be from the average American. One of the biggest ways they can alienate the majority of Americans is when they talk about money and personal finances. These comments can come from both sides of the aisle and almost every politician is guilty of this disconnect, although some more than others. Helaine Olen goes in to great detail with five examples in this article with Slate.
