CBO’s 2021 Long-Term Projections for Social Security: Additional Information - CBO

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has published its 2021 Long-Term Projections for Social Security. In place of publishing a separate report providing additional information about CBO’s long-term projections for Social Security, the agency is publishing the data that would have presented in that report. According to the report’s Trust Fund Projections, the CBO is “projecting that the OASI trust fund would be exhausted in the calendar year 2032 and the DI trust fund in calendar 2035-again if current laws remained in place.” For more details, click here to download the report.
