Collecting Social Security & Working? Be Careful.

Keith Speights writes about the little understood Social Security Earnings Test. Your Social Security retirement benefits could be reduced if you continue working and begin receiving benefits before your full retirement age. The threshold is fairly low at just $22,320 for 2024. But, the calculation method for these reductions changes during the year you reach your full retirement age (now 67 if born 1960 or later).
