Comparing American Retirement to Global Averages

Much of the outrage about retirement savings is unfounded, a recent study shows that American seniors are among the top in the world when compared to global averages. This trend is expected to continue when looking at the saving tendencies of the newer generations of workers. Even the shift of pensions to 401(k)s as the preferred retirement account has not had as negative of an effect as critics claim. Retirement accounts are as good as they were before, but more people are actually saving now that their accounts can follow them from one company to another.
