Coronavirus Relief and Social Security?

The future of Social Security may become a factor in the next pandemic relief measure, if in fact there is one. Specifically, rumors have begun to surface suggesting that the “Time to Rescue United States Trusts Act (TRUST Act)” may be gaining momentum for consideration as a measure to be baked into the potential relief bill, and some legislators apparently are supporting this move. The TRUST Act (S.2733), you’ll recall, establishes congressional rescue committees to develop recommendations and legislation to improve critical social contract programs,” including Social Security and Medicare.
