“Crystal balling” on Social Security’s Future

Motley Fool contributor Matt Frankel, CFP, takes a look into the future of Social Security in a video posted on tulsaworld.com, sharing his views on the myth that the program is on a trajectory to being broke in just over a decade. The seven-minute video clip summarizes the fundamental problems facing the program, and dispels the persistent rumor that benefits will stop when the trust fund reserves run out. He calls this rumor one of the two biggest falsehoods bandied about on various media outlets (the other being that politicians stole all the Social Security funds).
