Disability Advocates to honor The Rapid With Its 2014 Invest in Ability Award

Disability Advocates of Kent County is honoring The Rapid with its 2014 Invest in Ability Award for expanded transportation services. “The Rapid has torn down many barriers for persons with disabilities in our area,” Disability Advocates states in its announcement of the award. “The Rapid has truly supported so many who now are able to live more full and exciting lives because they have a way to get to where they want and need to go, and then back home again. “When you make things accessible to everyone, it benefits everyone.” David Lockington, the music director of the Grand Rapids Symphony, will give the keynote address, speaking about musicians who have overcome disabilities…Read More
