Don’t fall for scams about new Medicare cards

There has been a fair amount of publicity about Medicare issuing new cards which won’t include your Social Security number and that is a good step toward reducing the risk of identity theft.  But there are still lots of scammers out there who will seize the opportunity to try to trick you into revealing information they can use to get at your money, so you should beware of any contact which purports to be about your new Medicare card.  This short but important news item at the philly.com (Philadelphia) Inquirer website cautions readers to not fall for scammers tricks.  Click here to read more.
