Exercise for older folks reduces their risk of disability

It may seem obvious that exercise is good for you, but for those of us getting up there in years it has an even greater significance. A recent study has shown that exercising, especially when you’re older, greatly improves your mobility as you continue to age.  Improved mobility, in turn, reduces your risk of suffering a fall or other joint-related, muscle-related and neurological issues.  All of which add up to a better quality of life and more independence as we age.  Click here to read Linda Searing’s Washington Post article on this topic.
