Faster Processing of SSDI Claims for Early-onset Alzheimer’s Patients

The Social Security Administration has added early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease to its “Compassionate Allowance List” or “CAL.”  The CAL is a list of serious medical conditions which essentially offers expedited handling of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) claims for those suffering from a listed condition. That could mean processing of an SSDI application within a couple of weeks, rather than waiting the usual 3 to 5 months for a disability determination.
