Filing for Social Security at 62 Still Prevalent

The percentage of people filing for benefits at the earliest possible age continues to be high, despite reports that the trend may be reversing. The Motley Fool’s Matthew Frankel takes a look at the year-by-year statistics on this issue, noting also that the automatic conversion from disability benefits to retirement benefits at full retirement age tends to skew the analysis a bit.
